~ IN ASSOCIATION WITH ~ DR. CUE CLASSIC ARTISTIC POOL “SPORT & SHOW” TOUR,

FOUNDATION OF RACK, ARTISTIC POOL PLAYING ARTISTS (APPA)

 7 tables minimum (for timely practice / play scheduling) – 7′ (open play – light chalk grid)

  • 24 players minimum accepted from “invitation” list(s) regardless of skill level / rankings
  • Special “Victory” Challenge – open to everyone with qualified player scores to finals
  • 40 shots / challenges scored plus 2 tiebreakers (as needed) from Master Challenge Program
  • Original “golf course” format with no playoff rounds – 9 champions based on score totals  

 

Note:  The Dr. Cue Artistic Cup Master Challenge Program includes all shots / challenges used for the Dr. Cue Classic Artistic Cup VI (Available by email: drcue@artisticpool.org)

 Cup VI / Dr. Cue Guaranteed Player Prize Fund (Positional / Special Payouts):

 8 Discipline Champions:  $ 100.00 each ($800 total) + Award for each

  • Perfect Discipline (30 points): $ 25.00 each (no limit – Cup V had 8 of them)
  • 2 Sportsmanship Recipients: Medal / Special Prize – 1 by player vote / 1 by director selection

 Total Payout (24 player field minimum):  $ 9,500.00 + Discipline Total: $ 800.00 (minimum)

 Funding Notes, Plus Special Player / Audience Amenities: 

  • $100 special event registration fee – per invite acceptance and pre-arranged payment
  • All raffle sales income will go to the APPA Player Incentives and Training / Audience Entertainment Program – used for special funding and select “charity” contributions. 
  • Dr. Cue will offer a Master Challenge Program forum / entertainment show during the event
  • Each entrant is designated as an APPA (Artistic Pool Playing Artists) player and receives a Dr. Cue “Goodie Bag” / Welcome Package with select participation gifts
  • Select prizes via no cost drawings / give – a – ways for players and audience members

Note:  Includes “Dr. Cue” welcome message, confirmed registration list, players’ meeting, special prizes, group draw, and schedule postings for competition rounds (Players are encouraged to attend)

Equipment:

  • WPA specifications for all equipment
  • No limit on number of cues that can be used
  • Shaft(s) can be changed at any time
  • 40-inch minimum jump and masse cues are allowed
  • All props and balls must be from venue and / or promoter inventory
  • 3 minimum – 7 foot Diamond tables for actual competition w/chalk grid lines
  • 3 minimum – 7 foot Diamond tables for practice w/o chalk grid lines
  • Playfield size of tables – 40 inches x 80 inches
  • Slate thickness of tables – 1 inch
  • Ball sets – TV Pro Cup with Cue Ball (Promoter provided for event rounds)
  • Ball cleaner – Aramith Ball Cleaner with Aramith Micro-fiber cloths
  • Table cloth – Simonis 860 or similar
  • Ball racks – Diamond wood
  • Bill for Stroke # 4 Challenge provided by event director
  • Master blue chalk must be used during all event rounds and practice
  • New “prop” chalk as may be required will be piece without “well” usage
  • Table judge / event director will clean object / cue balls by player request
  • Event director has full authority over all equipment / inquiries at venue site

Dress “Up” Requirements (Dr. Cue Classic “Artistic” Cup Events)

     The dress code below is for the players during the competition AND when YOU may elect to perform during designated “show” times.  Please wear your most colorful outfits to reflect the beauty and special player styles connected to Artistic Pool.

 MEN:

  • Dress slacks (any color) – no jeans of any type
  • Dress shirt (any color)
  • Vest (any color)
  • Tie – bow or regular (any color) – optional
  • Dress socks (any color) – no anklets
  • Dress shoes (any color) – no sneakers or tennis shoes *

WOMEN:

  • Slacks / Capri – style pants, culottes, skirts, or sleeved dresses of conservative length
  • Any colored blouse with sleeves
  • Vest (any color) – optional
  • Tie – bow or regular (any color) – optional
  • Dress socks (any color) or nylons
  • Dress shoes or sandals (any color) – no sneakers or tennis shoes *

* Headgear (hats / caps), plus open – toed shoes or other “special” footwear may only be worn for 

  medical reasons and must be approved prior to event.

Special Provision: 

Players may wear professional attire signifying a trademark processed and select entertainment accepted “character” image.  Specific “special” apparel must be director approved prior to event.
