First Official Junior State Championship Scheduled for 2016
Wisconsin Junior State 8-Ball Championships to happen at Badger State Games
December 5, 2015 (Denver, CO): The first-ever Wisconsin Junior State 8-Ball Championships will take place Saturday, January 23 during the 2016 Badger State Games at the Central Wisconsin Convention & Expo Center. This prestigious state games event proudly welcomed the opportunity to make their youth event an official Junior State Championship and afford the winners an opportunity to compete at the 2016 Junior National 9-Ball Championships.
This event is open to all residents of Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa and Illinois that meet the age requirements. “We’re excited to host the first-ever Wisconsin Junior State 8-Ball Championships, and we’d like to thank the ACS and the Badger State Games for sponsoring these Championships…and the BEF for its sanctioning and work in promoting the youth in our sport,” said John Lewis, Commissioner of the Badger State Games.
This event is the first confirmed Junior State Championship of the 2016 season with plans of many more events to come. “Huge Thanks to John Lewis and all your work in making this event possible for the juniors. We hope all young players in the qualifying states show up for this great event!” added Samm Diep-Vidal, Exec. Dir. for the Billiard Education Foundation.
