Basdeo Soohai undefeated in Tri-State at Steinway Billiards, Astoria (Queens), NY). Basdeo’s tournament trail included wins over Lidio Ramirez   7 – 6; Raphael Castillo 8 – 6; Amir Rashad Uddin 7 – 3; Liran Rabin 8 – 3; and John Durr 7 – 6 for the Hot Seat. Meanwhile Raphael Castillo came back on the one loss side to face John Durr for a shot in the finasl, but fell short 7 – 5. The finals between John and Basdeo went back and forth and tied 3 – 3. Basdeo began to take charge in game and got to the hill 6 – 3. John fought back to 6 – 5; Basdeo finished rack 12 to win 7 – 5 for the tournament win
