Gotham City Billiards’ B/D Tri-State Tour event
The saga of the Hurricane Sandy Tri-State is completed. Since October 28th,when hurricane Sandy struck, the Gotham City Billiards’ B/D Tri-State Tour event sat on hold awaiting the its conclusion. On December 1st, Dave Shlemperis emerged as the winner, his tournament trail included wins over Gary murgia 7 – 0; Guy Iannuzi 7 – 4 and, Kim Meyer-Gabia 7 – 4, before suffering a loss to Tony Ignomirello 7 – 6. Orlando Forgie made his way to the Hot Seat, and probably holds the record for sitting in a Hot Seat longer than anyone, with a win over Tony 7 – 5. During this time, Dave Shlemperis continued to prevail on the loss side. Dave defeated Mark Perel 7 – 3 and Kim 7 – 6, to have a rematch against Tony Ignomirello. This time it was Dave’s turn to win 7 – 3. Dave and Orlando faced off in the Finally. During the Finals, Dave took charge and maintained control winning 9 – 3.
