2009 Diamond World Summit of Pool Ready to Kickoff June 3rd-June 6th at Riviera Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas

PHOENIX, AZ (May 26, 2009) – The United States Professional Poolplayers Association (the “UPA”) is adding the finishing touches to the upcoming 2009 Diamond World Summit of Pool event to be held at the Riviera Hotel & Casino, 2901 Las Vegas Blvd., Las Vegas, Nevada in just another week (June 3-6, 2009).
To help kickoff the week, the tour wishes to welcome onboard its latest event sponsor Instroke Cases – Instroke is the official case for this year’s World Summit of Pool event. In addition, the tour would very much like to express its gratitude for the continuous sponsorship from four of the top companies in the billiard industry which provide the tour with its official products: Ivan Simonis Cloth, Aramith Balls, Delta-13 Rack, and Diamond Tables as the title sponsor.

This annual event has been a staple in the professional pool community for numerous years and looks to be another fantastic opportunity for the men to strut their stuff at the game of nine-ball in this championship arena with an incentive of $20,000 guaranteed added. A little fun for the players and spectators alike will be had on Wednesday, June 3nd at 8 p.m. via a pro-am/meet the pros/mixer. Players meet Tuesday, June 2nd with tournament play jump-starting on Wednesday, June 3rd at 10 a.m. playing through Saturday, June 6th, with just the semi-final and final play to be held on that day.

If you haven’t already added your name to the hat, time is running out fast. A few specifics about the event: the field is limited to the first sixty-four players; $300 entry; race to eleven; true double-elimination; UPA official rules; and the UPA dress code will be strictly enforced.
