If there are no balls in the way, a good choice for pocketing the 9-ball is to go off the left side of the 1-ball to point’s s and t and back to the upper-right corner. If there are logs in the road in the form of blocker balls, the around-the- table ticky can be tried. It’s easy to come close to making the 9-ball with the ticky pattern but not so easy to actually make it, which means that the idea will be of most use in safety play.
