2008 PartyPoker.net World Cup of Pool winners, Team USA, made their way into the last 16 after coming through a life or death struggle against the Swedish pair of Marcus Chamat and Thomas Mehtala.
The American axis of Johnny Archer and Rodney Morris, currently ranked Nos. 1 & 2 on the US rankings, were big favourites in advance of the match, but Chamat has one of the biggest hearts in the game and Mehtala, making his big-time debut held his end up.
Hi all! I’m so excited to announce the newest addition to the Breedlove Clan! Savannah Lee Breedlove, was born on August 31st, 2010 at 6:51pm. She came into this world 6lbs, 12.9 ozs and was 19 1/2 inches long. She took her time joining us, it took 17 hours of labor, WITHOUT an epidural, spinal block, etc, due to problems getting the injection through all the scar tissue in my back (over 100 injection attempts in all! ) In the end, we decided to keep her anyway. Lots of jet black hair, a sweet face, super long fingers and toes, wonder who she gets that from? :

On Wednesday, September 29, between 2pm and 8pm in the pro arena, the WPBA will be holding a Membership Drive Telethon that will be streamed live and free for the viewers. BILLIARD EDUCATION FOUNDATION AWARDS 2010 ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS
The Billiard Education Foundation (BEF) Academic Scholarship Program is pleased to announce the 2010 recipients of its annual scholarship program. The scholarships are divided into two categories: BEF Excellence in Education scholarship ($5,000 awarded over a two-year term) and BEF Aiming for Higher Education scholarships (7 x $1,000 award). The objective of the BEF Academic Scholarship Program is to grant scholarships to high school seniors who have benefited from the sport of billiards and are pursuing a college education.

Shanghai, China- A new name in the billiards world will stand out as China’s Xiao-Fang Fu has been crowned the 2010 Women’s World 10-Ball Championship. Fu toppled a star studded field and overcame legendary Allison Fisher in the finals to become the second consecutive Chinese woman to win the World 9-Ball.

A friend and mentor to almost every Billiards player through out the world he was admired by many and loved by all!

Jeff Beckley of Indiana New Iberia, Louisiana- The 5th Annual Ozone Billiards US Amateur Open crowned a new set of champions this year in its 8-Ball and 9-Ball divisions. Players from Las Vegas all the way to Tampa,Florida came to be crowned the Ozone US Amateur Champion. 155 entrants vied in all the events to capture their share of the $20,000 purse available.
