This year a 35 player field of the top Straight Pool players in the country began to filter into Maryland for Friday afternoon warm-ups, check out the venue, the tables and equipment, new Simonis 860 cloth, Centennial balls.  Players were anxious to get in a few hours of practice, as competition this year was going to be about the strongest ever.

LAKE SAINT LOUIS, MO (June 22, 2010) “” The American Poolplayers Association (APA) recognized five of their top franchisees with League Operator of the Year awards during the APA Annual Convention in late April in Las Vegas.  The five were selected from a group of more than 260 League Operators throughout North America with one League Operator selected from each market size.

GTS Pool Ministry in Africa

GTS Update 6/16/10 – After a very busy 6 days in Nairobi we are taking a much needed break during the day with a tournament and GTS show this evening.  Tomorrow we are hoping to go on a safari and do some shopping before winding up on Friday with another big day.  We will be part of a sport’s day with a GTS Show at a Christian school in the Kariobangi slums.  Then on Friday evening we will be doing a series of short GTS shows at three sports bars in Nairobi during the World Cup Soccer as the USA plays that night.  We leave early Saturday morning and head for home.  Praise God!

THE PARTYPOKER.NET WORLD CUP OF POOL will once again take place in Manila following last year’s hugely successful event in the Philippines. Taking place from Tuesday to Sunday 7th to 12th September, the event will feature 32 two-player teams shooting for a $250,000 prize fund.

Jae Hyung Cho Takes the College Billiards Open

Each year, College Billiardshas an Open Tournament that attracts the best players in the United States as well as the Champions from South America and Mexico. In effect, it is very much like the Pan American Championship Tournament because of the high caliber of players. This year was no different.
