2011 USBA National Championship and Regional Qualifiers

The USBA is proud to announce the 2011 National 3-Cushion Championship will be held Monday through Friday May 9-13, 2011 at the Tropicana Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. This event will be occurring at the same time, same place and same floor as the ACS National Pool Championships, so there will be thousands of pool players in attendance.

Cong Nguyen (3-1) and Thanh Vu (4-0) played the final match of the tournament to determine the top winner. Cong finished the game in 14 innings with the best game average of 1.786.

WALT HARRIS passes away

Here is an update on services to be held for our beloved Billiards Buddy “œWalt Harris”.

Walt Harris May 13, 1929 – August 21, 2010.

Walt devoted most of his adult life promoting the sport of 3 Cushion Billiards. Author of the 4 volume “œBilliards Atlas” and founder of the United States National  “œSenior Tour” there was never a time when he was not thinking of or playing Billiards. A friend and mentor to almost every Billiards player through out the world he was admired by many and loved by all!

In effect, it is very much like the Pan American Championship Tournament because of the high caliber of players. This year was no different.
