RALF SOUQUET, DANNY DILIBERTO EARN ENSHRINEMENT IN BILLIARD CONGRESS OF AMERICA HALL OF FAME
Broomfield, Colo., Aug. 12, 2011 “” Versatility and longevity are the common threads that bind 2011 Billiard Congress of America Hall of Fame inductees Ralf Souquet and Danny DiLiberto, who earned election into pool’s hallowed halls in voting conducted by the United States Billiard Media Association. Souquet, 42, and DiLiberto, 76, will be formally inducted into Greatest Player wing of the BCA Hall of Fame on Oct. 20 during ceremonies at the Chesapeake Marriott in Chesapeake, Va.

Spin Shot By Robert Byrne
The through-the-hole double-the-rail pattern drawn in the diagram is not normally called a spin shot, but it has two characteristics after the cueball leaves the first rail-slow speed and tremendous spin. It is stroked as a force follow with high right-hand English. The speed on the cueball is killed not by the full hit but by the negative angle of approach into the first rail. The action is beautiful because the cueball speeds up after hitting the fourth rail.
US Open Boycott Lifted
Great News From Barry and Shannon
My daughter, Shannon, and myself are “pleased as punch” to announce there will be no boycott as everyone came to an agreement today to work everything out and we are very glad. 🙂 We feel that the player’s needs were justified as pool is in a dire state. We were happy to be able to work out a solution that will protect all parties and appreciate the ABP bending a little, so that we could all reach an agreement that we are all happy with.
It is time for us to restructure our methods of receiving funds from the sponsor, vendors and others in order to be able to pay players in full at the event. We ask our loyal vendors to please be prepared to pay in full by September 15, 2011 to assure and hold your booth space. Shannon and I have always appreciated all of you, but now we must restructure our method of you paying us, as we have to have all funds available to pay players. So now you have over 70 days before the event knowing that we need to have all the cash on hand.

Response to Yet Another Press Release from the ABP
We would like to address the recent press release issued by the members of the ABP. Once again, the actions taken by the ABP are disappointing, as there was an interview already scheduled on Runout Radio with me for Sunday to address all issues at hand; per Johnny Archer’ request. We do not understand the ABP’ desire to continually rock the boat. Johnny Archer called Jerry Forsyth and Jerry then called me and we agreed to a peaceful conversation. Shannon and I had hoped that this conversation would allow us to resolve the issues and put this behind us. And this Press Release is what they respond with?  We are unsure of their intentions. Is it their goal to completely destroy the longest running tournament in the history of pool?
The ABP has once again stated things that are not entirely true. While we honestly wish that we could move forward, as the past has already been addressed and accounted for, we feel that the public is continuously being misled by the actions of the ABP; and our intentions are to set the record straight. Despite what the ABP says, many players whom were listed on the boycott list have called, emailed or told us directly in Vegas last week, that they did not agree to boycott the US Open, and will be attending the event this October. In fact, Corey Deuel said on the phone last night, that he had no idea what the ABP was doing sending out yet another press release, and that he will be attending.
Innovative Pool Game Seeking League Operators
POOL300 plans  national expansion over next few weeks.
Dallas, TX, Wednesday, April 27, 2011: Â Don Owen, co-founder of OB Cues, inventor and long-time pool enthusiast, introduced POOLl300 to the Dallas/Fort Worth market in 2009, with national expansion kicking off in the coming weeks. Don’s vision for POOL300 is to make league pool play as accessible and fun for players, proprietors, and league operators as league bowling.
POOL300 is a challenging pool game similar to 10-ball that uses standard  billiard equipment. Because just about anyone can succeed at POOL300, it gives the proprietor of any establishment with 2 or more pool tables the opportunity to have dedicated players actively attending weekly league events.
In POOL300, clearing the table without missing gets the shooter a strike. Clearing the table with one miss is a spare. POOL300 is 100% offense. When it’s your turn, you’re shooting for yourself, not directly against another player. Players are handicapped in the same way as bowlers so beginners can compete against accomplished players and still have a chance to win.
At the upcoming BCA tournament in Las Vegas, Don Owen and his team are offering opportunities for League Operators and sponsoring the POOL300 Challenge where selected top professionals will be competing for cash. This event is open to the public to watch.
For more information or to get a league started contact Scott Willoughby at Scott@POOL300.com or call 855-TRY-POOL300.
