TAP Licensee of the Month

Jeff Chappell was born and raised in southern California.  He graduated high school and earned an Associate in Automotive & Diesel in Glendale, Arizona.  Jeff started playing pool in 1978, as a child on his dad’s table.  He started playing in pool leagues in 1995 and competing in tournaments.  His other hobbies include automotive restoration, playing poker and camping.

There was electricity in the air, as thousands of eyes were set on watching and playing yet another legendary Dream Team/Singles Rally at Edison event at the NJ Expo Center and for good reason.

The Diamond Women’s Open 9-ball Champion – Allision Fisher

The last Pro Women’s event at SBX was 2010 and won by Kelly Fisher, who was not present this year.  Kelly may not have been present but another Fisher was. Allison Fisher the 2009 Champion was present and in stroke and on track to win. The Diamond Women’s Open 9-ball Professional Players Championship was two days, Saturday and Sunday.

Professor-Q-Ball 3-C Challenge A Great Success

During the first two nights of the preliminary rounds at this year’s USBA national three-cushion championship, pool players lined up three deep to accept Professor-Q-Ball’s challenge: a race to five against one of the billiard players in the tournament, with the pool player getting the break shot and some instruction from a three-cushion player.

Paul Bramwell undefeated at BQE’s  A/D Tri-State Tour event. His tournament trail included wins over Paul Raval 7 – 0; Carl Yusuf Khan 7 – 5; Keith Adamik 7 – 1; and Steve Wade 8 – 5 for the Hot Seat.

Frédéric Caudron is still a young man (Jan. 1968), but he has experience beyond his years. No, this is not a quip about his love-life, and it has nothing to do with his business ventures. It is not even about those estimated 500 caroms a week for 30 years, matches and practice hours combined, which is three quarters of a million points in his memory banks. April 18, 2013 (Englewood, CO): On April 7, 2013, 13-year-old Shane Wolford of Virginia and 11-year-old Kaiden Hunkins from Wisconsin both went undefeated through their respective fields in the juniors events of the 2013 Super Billiards Expo  (SBX) in Edison, NJ. Wolford, was one of the youngest players in the 64-player 17 & Under division, defeating Zachary Hampton in the finals.

WPBL SEASON TO LAUNCH MAY 30th WITH FREE BROADCAST

The World Professional Billiard League will launch the inaugural 2013 season Thursday May 30th at 7pm PT. The entire season will be played at the new 13,000 sq. ft. WPBL arena in Las Vegas, where 48 of the world’s top players will compete over the course of 26 weeks to become the first ever WPBL Champions.

Amanda Lampert Wins at Jamaica Joe’s OB Cues Ladies Tour Stop #2

OB Cues Ladies Tour Stop #2 was held at Jamaica Joe’s, Midwest City, OK, March 9th/10th weekend. Jamaica Joe’s, a regular host site for the OB Cues Ladies Tour hosted 29 ladies who ventured from Texas (Houston, DFW, Austin, and Sherman) and the local Oklahoma vicinity. Jess Massey and her crew were fabulous as always and we do have to say that the renovations are truly magnificent and top notch. We are so excited about always being at Jamaica Joe’s that we will return for another tour stop visit the weekend of September 21st/22nd, 2013 and hope to see more lady Oklahoma players step up to the challenge of taking on the Texas ladies.

The Men’s Diamond 10 Ball at the 2013 SBE

The Men’s Diamond 10 Ball at the 2013 SBE had a strong field of 61 but came down to two great champions.  The final match was a thriller going hill ““ hill at one race apiece. The third and final race would go to Shane Van Boening coming out victorious over Thorsten Hohmann.  This was Shane’s fourth win at the Super Billiards Expo, 2008 (9 Ball), 2010, 2012 and 2013.
